I got 2 of these for my 2 6 year old sisters and the enjoyed it. The fact that its touch screen made the whole this better. I loved the price it was very cheap and i seem to enjoy it sometimes even a little more than my macbook.

Overall, this was a huge disappointment for my young sons. They have been saving up earnings from this summer and wanted to by themselves something and decided they would pool their cash and get a chrome book. I’ve bough pre-owned stuff before and it’s usually a great deal, so I talked a 6 and 8yo into buying used…which was a big mistake. First when we opened it, the unit had scuff marks on all sides. There was dent/gash in the plastic to the bottom left of the touch pad, the right edge also has some more serious scrapes. I was really worried to see what the screen/keyboard looked like; but was relieved that on opening screen the inward facing aspects were in great shape. The keys didn’t show any wear, the screen was bright, the scuffing all over the outside was not present around the screen or keyboard. But then we turned it on…and could not log-in. I tried my gmail, tried my wifes. Even tried the kid’s account from school, but it’s wouldn’t log in. I googled what to do and followed their instructions and still couldn’t get in. Called Amazon support, who called HP support who had me do all the same steps over again, and then was told the unit was sold with an institutional license and that I needed to be a member of that institution to use it. HP recommended I return the unit, so I did. The actual HP unit looked pretty good quality and we might buy a new one, but as for the “Certified Refurbished” , I won’t be doing that again.
